The spectacular costumes from movies and TV-shows
More Alice

Since I have started with Alice in Wonderland, I might aswell continue. This is the dress worn by Alice in the beginning of the movie. I find i so amazing. It is similar to the classic dress shown in the books, but with a more grown up and dressed up twist. There is no white apron and the silouettes are a little more feminine. I love the neckline and the flower embroidery on the skirt.

This dress is just as amazing, I believe it’s the dress with the biggest ulterior motive in the entire movie. It is worn by Alice after she has shrunk. What the designer has done here is that she has managed to make the dress look great on her, but still make it look like it’s a little bit to big.The neckline ruffles going down her shoulders are adorable!

I saw Alice in Wonderland for the second time yesterday, those costumes are marvelous! The costume designer Coolen Atwood made such a great job designing those classic costumes with a more modern and innovating twist! My personal favourite was the red dress Alice wore as a guest at the queens castle. I feel like it fits the story well. Since Alice ate a lot of the cake that made her grow, the queens helpers had to use a lot of fabric for her tall body. The fact that the dress doesn’t look 100 % well sown with a few pieces of fabric sticking out at the hem, makes it a great fit for the story. The dress is obviously nothing you can find in an ordinary store, but I found a quite good replica which is able to order on ebay. The dress will be handmade just for you, with your own measurements! Do I have to tell you how tempted I am?
